Eatmore Sprouts began in 1975 in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, rooted in a simple belief: that fresh, thoughtfully grown food can make a real difference in people’s lives.

Growing with intention
Over the past several decades, Glenn and Carmen Wakeling have grown Eatmore into one of Western Canada’s most trusted producers of organic sprouts and greens. What started as a small farm has evolved into a year-round operation serving communities across the region—while staying true to what it was built on: care for people, the land, and the food we grow.
Still family-owned. Still hands-on.
How we grow today
Today, Eatmore operates as a Certified Organic farm on 3.75 acres near Courtenay, BC. We grow sprouts and microgreens year-round in carefully managed indoor and greenhouse facilities, producing up to 9,000 pounds each week.
Our work is guided by certified organic practices, strong food safety standards, and a dedicated local team—many of whom have been with us for years.
Our facility is designed for efficiency and sustainability. We use solar energy. We buy our power from bullfrog power, a company that feeds the grid with wind powered hydro source. We recover heat from processing water and coolers and reuse it through heat pumps as part of our hydronic heating system. Our newer greenhouse design incorporates thermal mass heat storage to carry warmth through the winter months.
We’re always looking for better ways to grow—from renewable energy systems and heat recovery technology to Canadian organic seed sourcing and fully recyclable packaging.

Eatmore is a family-run business supported by a team of around 40 people working together year-round. Many of our team members have been with us for years, helping shape the care and consistency we’re known for.
