Meet Carmen and Glenn Wakeling

Carmen was born in Alberta in 1969. Her family came to the Coast in the early 1970's. While in high school, Carmen worked at a friend's sprout business. Carmen was intrigued with what she discovered there. Alternative agriculture and food production became a passion for her. While attending nursing school Carmen realized how health care and food production went hand in hand. When an opportunity arose Carmen and Glenn purchased the sprout farm & went into partnership with John Ross & Donna Pettigrew.

Glenn was born & raised in New Zealand. His family farmed sheep and cattle on steep hill country in the central North Island. Glenn attended agricultural school and had experience with building and farming. He met his future wife Carmen while on a working holiday. Eventually, they settled in the Comox Valley. After building homes in Canada for a time, an opportunity to purchase Eatmore sprouts arose. Glenn jumped in. Drawing on his ingenuity & construction/ farming background, he was able to develop systems & equipment to help create efficiency and grow good products

Carmen & Glenn have two wonderful teenaged children & a 3 minute bike ride to work!
