Frequently Asked Questions
1. There is fuzzy stuff on my broccoli, daikon and deli sprouts... is that mould?
2. Where can I find your sprouts?
On Vancouver Island: You can find our sprouts at Thrifty Foods, Quality Foods, Save-On Foods and most major retail grocery outlets, as well as many smaller health food stores. We distribute through Sysco and Islands West, so you will also find our sprouts at many restaurants!
Throughout BC: Wholesalers supplying in the Lower Mainland include Sun-Opta, Pro Organics, Discovery Organics, Save-On Foods, Safeway, Pacific Produce, Produce Terminal, Neptune Foods - so you can find our sprouts at many major retail outlets and whole food stores, as well as through organic box delivery programs.

Contact Gerry at Eatmore-Gerry(at)shawbiz(dot)ca for a more complete list of retailers who carry our sprouts in your area.
3. How do I choose fresh sprouts?
Like buying all fresh produce, a visual inspection is important. Look for bright roots - they should be white or red (daikon and deli sprouts), not yellow or brown! Sprouts should also be perky and crisp-looking.
4. Do you do retail business?
No, we are wholesale only.
5. Do you add anything to grow your sprouts?
Nope! All we use to grow our sprouts are air, water, light, seeds and love! Our greens and shoots are grown in our greenhouses with our very own organic compost, made on-site.
